The challenge with our current government and political system isn’t that it lacks avenues for citizen participation; it’s that the existing methods are often too time-consuming and cumbersome for the average person’s schedule to engage with effectively. As a result, even though we technically have a representative government, the decisions made often don’t truly reflect the will of the people.
Plugin Democracy is a nonprofit dedicated to addressing this gap. We provide a platform where any citizen can easily, securely, and effortlessly propose ideas and vote on them within their community. Our mission is to bring governance to the fingertips of every citizen, empowering communities to manage their own affairs with simplicity and transparency.
Our Organization
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization recognized as a public charity under section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Our ambitious goal is to redefine the avenues of democracy in our country, beginning humbly by serving the smallest communities: Homeowner Associations.
